Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

ParcelMY is designed to work without an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number, address or ID. The information we do process is:

• Tracking numbers you enter into the search box. These are sent to our data partner Tracking.my and, where necessary, to the relevant courier's public tracking endpoint in order to return your parcel status.
• Technical data automatically collected by our hosting provider Cloudflare (IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention and aggregated analytics.
• Local storage used to remember your language preference and your most recent tracking numbers. This stays in your browser and never leaves your device.
• Partner link clicks — when you open one of our Shopee partner links we record the link position, page path, referrer, browser user agent and a random session id so we can measure which offers are useful. No name, email or account is involved.

2. How we use information

• To detect the correct courier and return real-time delivery status.
• To generate short AI-written summaries of your tracking timeline.
• To improve reliability, security and performance of ParcelMY.
• To keep the service reliable, fast and free for everyone.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share limited data only with:

• Tracking.my — receives the tracking number to retrieve courier status.
• Cloudflare — hosts our pages and edge functions.
• Shopee — only when you choose to open one of our partner links.
• Law enforcement, where required by a valid Malaysian legal request.

4. No advertising

ParcelMY shows no display advertising. We do not use Google AdSense or any other ad network, we do not set ad-personalisation cookies, and we do not share your data with ad-technology vendors. ParcelMY stays free because we earn a small affiliate commission when a visitor chooses to open one of our clearly-labelled Shopee partner links — you are never required to click them, and tracking works exactly the same either way.

We use only what is necessary to remember your language selection and recent searches. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and instructions to clear it in your browser.

6. Data retention

Tracking-number lookups are cached for a short period (up to 10 minutes) so repeat searches are instant and courier APIs are not overloaded. The cache holds only the tracking number, courier and public checkpoint data — never anything that identifies you — and expires automatically. Server access logs are retained by Cloudflare according to their retention policy.

7. Children's privacy

ParcelMY is a general-audience service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights (PDPA 2010)

Under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because ParcelMY does not require an account, in most cases we hold no personal data linked to you. To exercise your rights, email hello@parcelmy.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
