International parcel tracking to Malaysia

Orders from China, Singapore or the US usually pass through two or three couriers before reaching your door. Paste your tracking number — ParcelMY auto-detects the courier and shows the whole journey.

Why international parcels have two tracking numbers

A cross-border shipment is split into two legs: the international leg (overseas warehouse to Malaysia) and the last-mile leg (Malaysian customs hub to your door). Different companies handle each leg, so you may receive two tracking numbers.

The first number usually stops updating once the parcel lands in Malaysia. When that happens, switch to the local number issued by the platform — typically J&T, Pos Laju, Ninja Van or SPX.

The couriers most often used into Malaysia

  • SF Express — the premium China route, 3–6 days, detailed hub-by-hub scans.
  • Yunda / YunExpress — common for Shopee International and Taobao sellers, 7–15 days.
  • Cainiao — the AliExpress logistics network, usually handed to Pos Laju or J&T inside Malaysia.
  • DHL eCommerce & UPS — for orders from Europe and the United States, 5–12 days.
  • Singapore Post & Ninja Van SG — the Singapore route, typically 2–5 days to the Peninsula.

How long does customs clearance take?

Most e-commerce parcels under RM500 clear Malaysian customs within 1–3 working days. A 'Customs clearance in progress' status lasting more than 5 working days usually means paperwork or duty is outstanding — contact the seller or the forwarding agent.

Since the 10% Low Value Goods tax applies to imports under RM500, some platforms collect it at checkout. If yours didn't, the courier will request payment before delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track AliExpress parcels on ParcelMY?

Yes. Enter the Cainiao number, or the local courier number issued once the parcel reaches Malaysia. Both are auto-detected.

Why hasn't my international tracking updated for a week?

During the sea or air leg no scans are recorded until the parcel lands in the destination country. A 5–10 day silence is normal for economy shipping from China.

Do I need to pay tax on overseas parcels?

Imports under RM500 attract the 10% LVG tax. Above RM500, import duty and SST apply according to the product category.
